Refund Policy
CRI Plus Subscriptions
In short: CRI Plus keeps charging you until you cancel it. Cancel in Account Settings > Billing, and you keep your access until the time you paid for runs out. Deleting your account does not cancel the billing, so cancel first.
CRI Plus is a paid subscription that renews automatically until canceled. Monthly plans renew each month. Twelve-month plans are charged upfront for the full access term and renew on the same cadence.
You can manage your subscription, payment method, invoices, and cancellation from Account Settings > Billing. If you cancel, your CRI Plus access normally remains active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Deleting your CRI account, deleting a shortcut or app, or no longer using the Service does not by itself guarantee cancellation of Stripe billing. Cancel CRI Plus in Billing before deleting your account. If you can no longer access the account, email us for help.
Refund Requests
In short: Email us if you were charged by mistake or cannot use what you paid for. We would rather just refund you than have you fight your bank. We look at each request on its own, so a refund is not automatic.
If you made a purchase by mistake, forgot to cancel, were charged twice, or cannot access the CRI Plus features you paid for, email team@criscore.org. Include the email address on your CRI account and the approximate charge date.
We generally prefer to resolve small billing issues with a prompt refund instead of forcing a customer into a card dispute. Refund requests are reviewed case by case, including the timing of the request, whether CRI Plus was meaningfully used during the paid period, prior refund history, and any evidence of abuse.
When a refund is issued, it is processed through Stripe and may take several business days to appear on your bank or card statement.
This policy does not limit refund, cancellation, or cooling-off rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Payment Disputes
In short: Talk to us before you call your bank. Once the bank opens a dispute, our hands are tied and we cannot refund you directly until it closes. If the complaint is fair we will usually accept it. If our records show you bought it, used it, and never asked for help, we may push back.
Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. Once a bank opens a formal dispute or chargeback, the payment is handled through Stripe, the card network, and the issuing bank. We cannot bypass that process with a separate manual refund while the dispute is open.
For good-faith disputes, we may accept the dispute, cancel the subscription to prevent future charges, and use the feedback to improve the billing or cancellation experience. We may challenge a dispute when our records show that the account holder authorized the purchase, accepted the billing terms, used CRI Plus, did not request help or cancellation first, or has a repeated pattern of disputes.
Evidence may include Stripe checkout records, subscription and invoice details, account email, acceptance of terms, access timestamps, CRI Plus usage history, cancellation status, refund history, and support communication.
Abusive Dispute Activity
In short: Buying CRI Plus, using it, and then disputing the charge over and over is not okay. If you do it, we can cancel your access, refuse future purchases, and close your account.
Repeatedly purchasing CRI Plus, using the paid service, and then disputing the charge harms the service and other users. If we identify abusive dispute behavior, we may cancel the subscription, revoke CRI Plus access, decline future purchases, block related accounts or payment methods, preserve records needed to respond to the dispute, and terminate accounts under the Terms of Service.
